Welcome

My therapeutic approach is empathetic, non-judgmental and client-centred. I am queer friendly as well as queer identified, and my work is informed by an anti-oppressive lens.

I am currently a therapist-in-training, having recently completed my studies at The Toronto Institute for Relational Psychotherapy, a program recognized by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Toronto (CRPO). I am also a member of the Canadian Association for Psychodynamic Therapy.

About therapy

People come to therapy for many different reasons. Maybe there's a specific event you need some support with, such as a conflict, loss or transition. Maybe you've been experiencing ongoing stress, anxiety, self-doubt or self-criticism. Sometimes the reasons for seeking therapy can feel murky and unclear. For example, things may be going well in your life, but you may have a hard-to-pin-down sense of something being "off". Whatever brings you to therapy, and whether it's easy or difficult to talk about, my intentions are to meet you where you are at with sensitivity, care and empathy and to co-create a way of exploring your thoughts and feelings, and what they mean to you.

Fees

Fee Policies

My fee is $120 (tax included) for each fifty minute session.

I offer a free half hour initial consultation in person to see if we are a good fit to work together.

Fees are payable by cash, cheque or pre-paid e-transfer, and please note that I charge the full amount of our agreed upon rate if I receive less than 24 hours notice for a cancellation.

Reduced Rate Information

I have a certain number of reduced rate spots during daytime hours.

All of these spots are currently full and there is a wait-list.

If you are looking for a reduced rate, please specify this when you get in touch with me.

Therapy Coverage

Psychotherapy is unfortunately not covered by OHIP. My supervisor is a Registered Psychotherapist, so if your private insurance covers this category, it is possible you may receive coverage for sessions with me. If this is the case, I will provide you with receipts which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
